I am committed to protecting the privacy of online visitors to the Fireproof Counseling Web site. I will collect no personally-identifiable information about you (e.g., your name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address) when you visit my site unless you choose to provide that information to me. Therapy Session Privacy Policy
The law protects the relationship between a client and a therapist. Nothing you say can be disclosed to someone else without written permission from you. In other words, your secrets are safe with me.
There are three exceptions to my confidentiality commitment:
- Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse: I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
- Threats of serious bodily harm to another person: I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities and intended victim immediately.
- Intention to harm yourself: I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
